2000 Civic with a Garrett turbo… for the past few months, while at idle like at a stop light, it will stall. We thought it might be because he isn’t letting it warm up alllll the way before driving it, but it’s done it before when he’s just gotten off the highway… like he gets off at the exit, and it starts to stall and he had to pull off the road…. but like I said, it usually does it at stop lights… for no reason. He’s adjusted the idle, and it’s still doing it, and just tonight, it stalled about 3 times in a matter of 10 minutes…..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The turbo system is a Garrett t28 turbo with a Edelbrock performer x intake and fuel management system.( This is the Performer x turbo kit ) It had a MSD ignition set up but he took that off and put the stock one on just before we bought it. Did not have it re tuned or anything. The 1st engine blew a rod Thu Thru block but we were on it hard. The 2nd engine blew a rod #3 cyl. Not on it at all. 20 mph. Looks like the rod bent before it blew thru the block. We have had codes for to lean and to rich. Could the fuel management system be changing the timing and doing it. I am totally lost. we are getting ready to put in another engine used with 80,000 on it but want to know what is blowing these rods. Also does any one know where I can download the install and set up manual for this. I would be a BIG help.
Yes it does have a management sys. and yes it was a kit. The 2nd time it blue it was at about 6lb boost. The firts was 12lb
We are running the stock pcv system.
